Ghar Ek Sapnaa is a Hindi television serial that airs on Sahara One channel worldwide. It is based on the story of a girl name Kakul, whose dreams are shattered when she comes to that her husband does not love her and she does not get accepted by her in-laws.
Run daily in Romania under name of " In cautarea fericirii" pe National TV from 19:15 in period April 2009 — March 2010, replay on N24PLUS since March 2010 from 21:00 Monday though Friday.
The story revolved around the protagonist Kakul who is the younger daughter of a Bihari politician Om Shankar. She attends her friend's wedding in Mumbai where she meets a Mumbaiite Sammaan, the son of an affluent businessman Amarnath Chowdhary. Sammaan flirts incorrigibly with Kakul at the wedding. Kakul, a simple girl at heart, is attracted to Sammaan and falls for his charms not realizing that Sammaan is merely indulging in idle flirtation to pass the time pleasantly in the company of a good-looking young girl. The incident angers Kakul's brother-in-law and her father's primary adherent and political supporter Surjeet, who is known for his extremely short temper. Surjeet gets Sammaan married to Kakul at gunpoint. And from thereon, Kakul's life goes for a toss, for Sammaan is head over heels in love with his steady girlfriend Vanshika Saxena, while Sammaan's mother Uttara who disapproves of the marriage and Kakul, makes life miserable for her. How Kakul manages to overcome a long series of obstacles, win over Sammaan and his family and make her dream of a loving home a reality, forms the crux of the story.
